Cafe Nouveau in Ventura

Five Stars is an understatement... This place sets a new standard for breakfast/ brunch... The service is amazing, staff is professional, friendly, and gave great recommendations, food came out hot and fast, probably in less than 15 minutes (while they were packed on a Sunday morning). Can't go here without getting the beignets. Can't go wrong with anything on the menu... We loved the breakfast sandwich and benviella Benedict. We will absolutely be back

I love this beautiful spot for delicious food and a really wonderful atmosphere. The owner and all who work there are such quality people. The owner has done an excellent job complying with the extensive(exhaustive!) regulations to reopen. The outside seating area is now made into cozy seating areas protected from others. It continues to be a beautiful setting with luxurious plantings outside this lovely 1920s converted house. A delight!

Wow, what a great find passing through Ventura. Very cute place for an awesome breakfast! They are very Covid conscious so we appreciated that. Very quick service and the food is amazing!

Great food - a little pricey. Worth it for our anniversary breakfast. Love the beignets - not dry at all. Their house made syrup is amazing - very decadent. Great topper for pancakes,waffles or french toast. Ordered eggs benedict - delicious. Also had cinnamon raisin french toast - amazing!!! Service was attentive & friendly. Our temperatures were taken at the door quickly & efficiently. Lots of shrubs & climbers to help diners have privacy & feel cozy. Heaters kept the morning chill away.

Cafe Nouveau has always offered patio dinning. We miss this place post Covid and decided to try the new way of Covid dinning! CN has put in very thoughtful measures - masks, gloves for the wait staff; the process of only certain staff will clear the used plates and flatware; the way to pay bills. They separated the tables, added aluminum shields to the screens that separated the tables. We were dining in private !! We felt safety measures were satisfactory to us.

Wait time was quick and we felt safe with temperature checks at the door. Nice use of technology for digital menus using QR codes, tablets for each server for quick order and checkout. Lovely outdoor seating is private, green, and happy. Our server was funny, helpful and attentive. I recommend the Frisco burger and the au gratin potatoes! Yum! Can't wait to go again.

Delicious food and drinks! And they're being super cautious with this pandemic. I will definitely be back!

Wonderful experience for breakfast! The restaurant has done a spectacular job, providing great food and perfect service all the whole maintaining an environment that is very clean and safe. From temperature screening to shields around the tables (which only added to the ambiance), a very nice experience. Oh, and did I mention how wonderful the food is? Thanks Cafe Nouveau!!!

Delicious beignets, sweet potato biscuits & eggs Benedict! Will definitely come back here next time I'm in town. The tables outside are each very secluded from other guests, almost in their own little outdoor rooms surrounded by plants and decorative walls.

Beautiful and safe private outdoor nooks in a delicious restaurant. their covid-19 standards are top notch, and the food is high calorie splurge yumminess.

Their first day opening their dine-in patio seating since the covid 19, please go out to support them. They are doing so well keeping the distance between tables, sanitizing, providing individual packets of ketchup etc. Food and service were amazing!

Good, fresh food, nice atmosphere. Outdoor seating separates diners well, whether you eat there during a Pandemic or not.Servers wore PPE. I felt confident eating here.

Favorite place for breakfast in Ventura because of the great food and tranquil patio. The French Quarter Beignets are an amazing appetizer and the Country Fried Steak and Eggs is also very delicious and fulfilling.

Fabulous breakfast choices. Very New Orleans style food selections. Haven't tried lunch or dinner as of yet, but if its anything like the breakfast, its 5 star.My last order was Bananas Foster malted waffle with rum butter sauce. Have to order the scalloped potatoes, they are really good , as is everything else I have tried.Prices are reasonable as well.
